Fisher Road Baptist Church, Baytown will host the Gospel Messengers in concert September 5 during the 11:00 a.m. worship service. All are invited. For information contact Charlie Flewellen at 281.383.2795.
Memorial Baptist Church, Baytown will be sponsoring a community-wide Adult Co-Ed Church Volleyball League this fall. Churches are invited to put a team together and join the league. A list of rules and a poster are available by contacting Alan Beck at 281-427-1725 ext. 203 or alan@memorialbaytown.com. Deadline is September 7 for those interested. The goal is to have an eight team league to begin this year.
Bay Area Ministerial Alliance (BAMA) "Faith in Action" Serve Day will be Saturday, November 20, (8am to Noon). Service opportunities include roadway and park community-wide trash cleanup, Habitat for Humanity home building, singing at rest homes, prayer at the Mall for the city, and other community volunteer opportunities such as Pregnancy Resource Center and Bay Area Homeless Shelter. Please mark your calendars and discuss with your ministries what activities you would like to volunteer for and/or come up with additional ideas.
Second Baptist Church, Baytown invites parents, youth workers, and youth teachers to a conference with Doug Fields & Duffy Robbins on Jan. 22nd @ SBC Baytown! Second Baptist Church, Highlands, has the Angel Food Ministry. You do not need to qualify. Orders can be placed up to the middle of the month by calling Davida or Linda at 281.426.5557. The basic box is $30. Food can be picked up on the last Saturday of each month.
Wooster Baptist Church, Baytown, is sponsoring a monthly Men's Prayer Supper on the fourth Monday of each month at the church, 7007 Bayway Dr, Baytown. This ministry begins at 6:30 p.m. and is a time of food, fellowship music-led praise/worship, and devotion brought by a different speaker each month (in the form of a brief sermon, Bible study, music, or other mesage). A love offering is taken to assist in recovering food expenses - only give as you feel led. All men and boys are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Fellowship Community Baptist Church, Baytown, has begun Faith Partners, an addiction recovery ministry. Faith Partners meet every Thursday, 6:30 p.m., at the church, 1700 Danubina St., Baytown. The meeting is for people recovering from drug and alcohol addictions. However, anyone seeking Jesus Christ may attend.
